Located in Plaza Weyler, it was built in 1903 by the architect Llu\u00eds Dom\u00e8nech i Montaner.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Grand Hotel was the most luxurious in Spain, until the inauguration of the Ritz (Madrid) in 1910. Innovations and luxuries include elevator, steam heating, running water and electricity.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-the-house-nbsp-can-forteza-rey\"><strong>The House&nbsp;<em>Can Forteza Rey<\/em><\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>It remembers us to Casa Batll\u00f3 in Barcelona (Gaudi\u2019s building). His promoter was Jos\u00e9 Forteza-Rey who worked as a goldsmith of the cathedral at the same time that Gaud\u00ed made the reform (1904-1914).&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The history of the building is quite curious: Jos\u00e9 Forteza Rey built the building for his sons: a pharmacy on the ground floor, a dental clinic on the first floor and the rest as a private residence. The mezzanine was his own house.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>It emphasizes the decorative treatment, the polychrome ceramics of the Mallorcan factory \u201cLa Roqueta\u201d and the monstrous or rather painful and suffering face, flanked by two winged dragons located on the second floor and above, the dentist sign \u201cDental clinic I. F. Rey \u201c, efficent and artistic publicity, associating evil with the remedy.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-the-nbsp-aguila-nbsp-building\"><strong>The<em>&nbsp;\u00c1guila<\/em>&nbsp;Building<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Nearby the house Forteza Rey, we found the building: l\u2019\u00c0guila.
