Highlights
With a licensed and professional guide, you will visit the huge archeological areas of the Roman and Imperial Fora together with one of the largest theatres built in the Ancient Rome.
During the centuries when Rome was Caput Mundi (capital of the world), the forum was the Roman Empire’s political, social and commercial heart. Senators, slaves and commoners alike crossed paths in this bustling city centre, visiting the district’s courthouses, temples, government offices and shops. The first site dates to around 600 B.C., but was enlarged by Julius Caesar, Augustus Caesar, Domitian, and Trajan. You will admire them again from the breathtaking terrace of the Capitol Hill.
We will proceed towards the most internationally recognized symbol of the Ancient Rome, the Colosseum.Starting.

Rome by night
Rome is wonderful at all hours but Rome at dusk and by night is magical.
When daylight starts to fade, our guides will show you the most authentic heart of Rome when it starts to emerge: the crowds thin, the locals come out and the monuments seem to exhale as they see off the last visitors and dress up in nighttime lighting.

- Roman Forum and Colosseum

Highlights
Meet your guide at Quirinale square dominated by its luxury baroque palaces as the one of the Quirinale, the official residence of the president of the Italian Republic, sits on Quirinal Hill, the highest of Rome’s historic seven hills. Formerly a royal residence for popes and kings, the palace has dozens of sumptuous, art-filled halls around a stately central courtyard and a beautiful garden with expansive views over Rome.
Late evening and night are the best time to see Fontana di Trevi (Trevi Fountain): when the sun goes down, the crowds that make it almost invisible during the day disappear and warm lights make the magnificence of this fountain come back to life. In the dead of night, though, you’ll find the Trevi Fountain deserted! Experiencing such a beautiful masterpiece alone is a truly special experience. Sure, your photos might look a little different than those who stop by during the day, but the memory is sure to be one worth cherishing. See the lit-up facade of the Pantheon and even if it is closed at night but it overlooks a wonderful square worth seeing. Admire the Vittoriano in its true magnificence, a huge, large white building overlooking Piazza Venezia is stunning at night.
While its museums and terraces are closed at night, its facade comes to life thanks to beautiful light effects highlighting the architectural details of this most peculiar building. Catch a stunning view of the Forum from the Campidoglio ( Capitol hill) .The suggestion to catch view at night can seem counterintuitive but truly, the view from Campidoglio at night is just magical and even better than that: you get two in one as you get to see both Piazza del Campidoglio itself, designed by Michelangelo, and the Roman Forum and the illuminated Colosseum nearby! We will continue our lovely and relaxing walk towards the Theatre of Marcellus, through the medieval district of Jewish Ghetto to end up at Campo de Fiori where your guide will suggest where to have a glass of red in Rome’s wine bars or a Pizza in the Pizzerias located nearby. Many think of Rome as a place for aperitivo in the piazza (and in a late afternoon in summer, that is a lovely idea) but later in the evening and in winter, the places to go are wine bars or as they are called in Italian ‘enoteche’. You can end your day having aperitivo on a rooftop terrace. Between spring and early autumn Rome rooftop terraces offer wonderful opportunities for drinks and nibbles with a view. These are among the best sunset spots in Rome and my tops pick for a romantic night in Rome. Rooftop bars in Rome, especially on warm summer nights with a sunset as well, are the perfect way to complete an evening in Rome. If you prefer you will enjoy dinner like a Roman. Dinners in Rome are long and slow, ideally starting around 8:00pm and lasting for at least a couple hours.
Pick a great restaurant (you may want to make reservations a couple of days ahead of time if you have a popular spot in mind), take leisurely breaks between courses, enjoy plenty of conversation and wine, and eventually waddle your way out of the restaurant more stuffed than you’ve ever been.
True, this isn’t something you’ll want to do every day–but at least once during your trip, it’s an experience worth having in Rome at night.Starting from EUR 0
