Beginning in the fourteenth century, the headquarters of the Florentine studio were located in Florence on the study’s namesake street. This was the first university, with members required to wear black disguises and lead mysterious lives, scanning everything that might reveal information about distract from study, especially women, they donned a black dress as a result. The teachings were taught via watches, meaning that they moved and went to places where they were paid more. Rhetoric, logic, philosophy, science, and mathematics were the primary disciplines covered. The lessons were always taught in Latin in accordance with the prevailing fashion.

Following the Council of 1439, a large number of Greek academics brought old philosophical literature to Florence, to the point where we started studying Greek there as well. At that time, Florence was known as the Athens of Italy.
