A Legacy of Tuscan Gastronomy
The premises of Trattoria Gozzi, housed in Palazzo Bandinelli, originally belonged to the Inghirlani family. In the late 18th century, the space was used as an oil and wine shop before becoming a trattoria at the turn of the 20th century.
The Gozzi family’s history with the trattoria began in 1915, when Antonio Gozzi inherited the business from Signor Ciabatti. Initially, the menu was simple, offering soups and beans. Later, Antonio’s son Ubaldo expanded the offerings with dishes like boiled beef, served weekly.
Under Ubaldo, and subsequently his son Sergio, the trattoria gained a reputation throughout the neighborhood for its authentic Tuscan recipes, handed down through generations. Today, Sandro and Andrea Gozzi carry on the family tradition, serving hearty, flavorful meals with the same dedication.
