In December 1913, Mona Lisa was exhibited at the Uffizi Gallery in Florence in Italy. The director of the museum, Giovanni Poggi, was photographed while examining this famous painting. Mona Lisa had been stolen from the Louvre Museum in 1911 by Vincenzo Perugia, an Italian carpenter/decorator who hid it for two years. After being recovered in Italy, the masterpiece was briefly exposed to the Uffizi before being returned to the Louvre. This temporary exhibition will represent a significant moment in the history of art and in the safety of works of art, highlighting the weakness and unstimbilization of this iconic portrait of Leonardo da Vinci.
