Perhaps not everyone knows about the existence of a corridor that starts from Palazzo Pitti performes concludes near the Galileo Tribune in the Specola Museum. This architectural space was to be the “appendix” of the famous corridor of the “Prince” or Vasarian. The so-called “Michelangelo’s secret room” will be open to the public on November 15th, a small room housed in the complex of the Medici Chapel Museum in Florence that displays studies and drawings ascribed to the famed Renaissance painter and sculptor. The room had been neglected for years and had never been seen until now: it is believed that Michelangelo Buonarroti secretly stayed there for a few months in 1530, sketching some of his works on the walls.
